Van Laar Aquino Signature A completely new project, a signature trumpet model, created by Hub van Laar in honor of the special sound and original approach of Italian trumpet player Luca Aquino. The “AQUINO” trumpet has a rich, soft, mellow, warm, round and deep tone. The tapered bore guarantees a light and simple response. The lead pipe is a twin-tube design that allows for faster response. The shepherd’s crook tuning slide and bell bow give the sound a fluid quality at any dynamic. The feeling vaguely resembles that of a flugelhorn or cornet but with a well-defined trumpet sound and better projection. The large one-piece hand-hammered bell in yellow brass enables a broad palette of colours and enhanced resonance. The design is striking.
