Opis

Modern Drummer is the world’s first, most popular, and most highly regarded drum magazine. Published by Modern Drummer Publications, Inc., the monthly magazine is dedicated to all aspects of drums and percussion, featuring interviews with the world’s greatest drummers, reviews of the latest drumming gear, and technique columns by leading educators.

Since its inception in 1977, Modern Drummer, or MD, as it’s often referred to by readers, has been recognized as a major hub of the drumming community, and is often credited as helping raise the awareness and credibility of drummers throughout the world. The print version of Modern Drummer is available in sixty-seven countries (a Portuguese-language version is available in Brazil and a Spanish-language version in Spain), and a monthly Digital Edition enhanced with music and video corresponding to the current issue’s contents is available to anyone with access to the Internet. An electronic newsletter featuring unique editorial, MD Wire, is also published monthly.

In 1993 Modern Drummer Publications introduced a bi-monthly drum dealer-oriented magazine called Drum Business, and for over twenty years its book division has released works by the world’s most important drum educators. In 2006 the company published the first hardcover book on the history of drumming, The Drummer: 100 Years Of Rhythmic Power And Invention. Since 1987 it’s also produced the Modern Drummer Festival, the world’s premier drumming event.
