Epiphone SG G-310 RE EGG1RECH1 električna gitara

The body of the guitar is made of Alder/Basswood (Gibson SGs use Mahogany). Basswood is the same type of wood used in many lower cost guitars (See: Squier Guitars). The tree is found in the US northern and lake states and gets its name from the inner bark. Native American people used it to make rope. It has a bright sound with plenty of attack so the G-310 will sound different than the G-400 and other SG’s made from mahogany. The bridge is a Tune-o-matic with a stopbar tailpiece. It isn't the same as that found on the Gibson models. It's available in Ebony, Red and Vintage White.

The 24.75 inch scale length neck is made of mahogany and has a rosewood fretboard with 22 frets. There are simple plastic dot inlays used on the fretboard. The tuners are ok but could be better. The output jack seemed to become loose. It bolted to the body which is like the SG Special. Gibson SG's have set in or glued in necks with a long tenon. Bolt on necks are simply easy to manufacture but don't exhibit the same amount of tone and sustain as glued in necks. For the price though you can't beat this guitar.

As for the pickups and electronics the guitar has two open-coil humbuckers. The 700T is found in the bridge position with the 650R in the neck position. These pickups have ceramic magnets and are decent in sound and power. They are usually found in lower cost guitars. The electronics are of similar design as you would expect with two volume and two tone controls, one for each pickup and a 3-way pickup selector: neck, neck+bridge, bridge.
